Spontaneous formation and catalysis of highly dispersed Pd0 on *BEA zeolite

چکیده

Thermal treatment of the Pd complex bearing triphenylphosphine (PPh3) and acetate as ligands (bis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II) diacetate, Pd(PPh3)2(OAc)2) in toluene resulted formation aggregated nanoparticles (Pd-NPs). The dispersion could be achieved after addition *BEA zeolite during thermal Pd(PPh3)2(OAc)2 (Pd/*BEA). Further, Suzuki cross-coupling was performed on prepared catalysts utilizing 4′-chloroacetophenene phenylboronic acid substrates. It observed that catalyst, which with support, active reactions among various supports. product yield increased decreasing Pd-loading Pd/*BEA; highest obtained when ~0.1 wt% Pd-loaded utilized. inferred fine particles close to external surface PPh3 were cross-coupling. Contrarily, alone Pd-NPs almost inactive reaction.

Catalysis on singly dispersed bimetallic sites.

A catalytic site typically consists of one or more atoms of a catalyst surface that arrange into a configuration offering a specific electronic structure for adsorbing or dissociating reactant molecules. The catalytic activity of adjacent bimetallic sites of metallic nanoparticles has been studied previously. An isolated bimetallic site supported on a non-metallic surface could exhibit a distin...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
